Google Pay
You can use Google Pay to make it easy to pay at payment terminals in stores as well as e-commerce sites. Everything is simple, fast and secure. And of course, the service is free.
What is needed?
- Debit or Credit card Visa, Mastercard or Maestro from Fio banka.
- Mobile phone with an Androind (systém 5.0 or higher) and NFC function
- Peněženka Google application
How to do it?
- Install the Peněženka Google application
Adding through Penženka app
- Open the Peněženka app. Take a picture of the payment card, manually fill in the remaining details and press Agree.
- You will receive an activation SMS code which you enter into the app.
- You can pay by placing the device.
Adding through Smartbanking
- Select the relevant payment card, click on Wallets and Add card to Google pay.
How does it work?
Turn on the display and unlock the phone (numeric password, symbol, fingerprint) and hold it to the terminal. The payment will be made within a few seconds and you will receive a confirmation of its successful processing in the application.
If you forget to unlock the screen and it just stays on, the app prompts you to unlock it. Then attach it again and the payment will be made.
For some older types of payment terminals, you may be asked to enter a PIN code on the terminal for security reasons.
Payments in e-shops (without NFC)
The Google Pay application can also be used on phones without NFC, then customers can use it to pay at more than 14,000 Czech and Slovak e-shops.
Security
Paying with Google Pay is safe for several reasons:
- the card number is not stored in the phone or application
- neither the merchant nor Google knows your card number (the application uses a virtual number)
At the same time, we recommend that you follow the basic security rules - keep your phone properly secured, use antivirus, do not share your password with anyone, do not lend your phone to anyone.
